Dr. Lauren Feiner

I am a recent graduate of the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium and I am finishing up my Predoctoral Internship at the APA-Accredited Northwestern University (NU) Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This upcoming Fall, I will be completing my postdoctoral fellowship at the UCSD Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). In working at several University Counseling Centers, I recognized the importance in addressing community and systemic concerns that may impede growth and learning. Therefore, I regularly engage in outreach and consultation activities as a way to reach out to the greater community. My individual psychotherapy focuses on strength-based approaches empowering individuals to utilize their unique strengths to overcome challenges. Often times, we focus on deficits or diagnoses and forget about personal strengths. My specific interests include strength-based approaches, performance psychology, and positive psychology. In working with very gifted students, performance psychology (aka “peak performance”) has become a popular workshop. It focuses on the factors that allow individuals, teams, and groups to achieve their goals with an emphasis on mindfulness based practice. I am excited to be a part of WOW to provide evidence-based techniques on well-being.
